Overstock.com Designer Handbag Sale

Why did I put a spending ban on myself?  Oh yeah, it's because I spent so much money on my bags already.  I blame the ladies on the PurseForum.  Ever since I found them, I've been checking their Deals & Steals thread here.  They come highly recommended by other bloggers, and now they've been nominated for Blogger Business of the Year 2011.  Make sure to vote for them!

I've stumbled upon something big.  I've never really thought to look at Overstock.com for my designer bag purchases, but I might have to rethink that now.  Check out what I found:

I don't know how they "overstocked" on these items, but more for us!  ^_^

Proenza Schoulers and Celines aren't your cup of tea?  How about some Fendis, Guccis, Longchamps, Versaces, just to name a few.  Check it out here.

Did I also happen to mention that if you're a new customer you also get 10% off all items purchased?  And even if you're not, you'll get $30 off a $600 purchase, which you can find all that here?

*rushing of feet*  *crickets chirping*

Um?  Guys?  Is anyone still there?

J.Crew: 50% Off in Store 40% Off Online

Update: I'm not really sure why I got an email saying that in store clearance is only 40% off for J.Crew, but pictures don't lie:

But honestly, without this picture, I would have thought that I dreamed this sale. ^.^

Yes!  It's true!  J.Crew is having 50% off final sale items in store, while if you shop online, you are getting 40% off.  I browsed through my local J.Crew right after work, and it seems most of the nicer pieces (with my size) have been picked out already.  I did notice one piece that I liked online though.

Brompton Hobo in suede, $278 $229.99 (sale price) $137.99 (after 40% discount)

I've been looking for a cross body bag for a while now, since I've worn my Fossil one down.  Although after my Chanel and another recent bag purchase (I'll blog about this one later as well), it seems hard justifying to myself to buy another bag, although I'll probably carry this one much more.

Amazon: 30% Off $80 Orders of Select Handbags

Imagine my surprise when I went to place my order today for my Final Fantasy XIII-2 game on Amazon and I came upon this:

Look through the selection and see if there are any bags that you want here.  I see some Kate Spades, Rebecca Minkoffs, Juicy Couture, and a whole bunch of other bags that are worth looking at.  Make sure that they have this on the bottom of the bags to qualify:

Enjoy!

Personally, I've never really liked these bags, but I know my cousin went crazy for them a while back.  I also know that everywhere I look someone on the train station has one of these bags.  Anyways, I hope you guys enjoy this deal!

Vintage Shopping On MLK Day

Happy Martin Luther King Jr. Day everyone!  I hope you guys got a day off like I did.  What did I do on my day off?  I went shopping of course!

I've never gone vintage/thrift shopping before, so I decided to give it a try at a couple of places that were close by.  I ended up going to Second Time Around (sta) on Newbury Street.  They actually have three different stores on this famous street, and I ended up visiting all three.  However, it wasn't until I visited the last store that I ended up buying something.  Here's what it looks like from outside:

I was actually kind of nervous going into my first thrift shop.  I've hears horror stories of people telling me that the clothes are disgusting and that it's a complete mess.  However, going into sta, all the racks were neatly lined.  If there are any further discounts in the store, it is marked by the color of their price tags.  Most of the clothes I browsed through were in good condition, and apparently, they look through the clothes first before they buy it from other people.  I've noticed that they have things from Ann Taylor, J.Crew, Theory, Northface, Coach, and even Burberry.

I was actually looking for some vintage pearls, but their jewelry section was rather limited.  I ended up buying a black DKNY 100%  Leather Size 4 pants for $44.50 (original price was $87 at sta, I think, but it was a red tag, which meant I also got 50% off).  I tried looking online to see how much this sells for retail, but the closest thing I could find was a couple of ebay posts here and here with the starting bid at around $29.  Overall though I'm happy with my purchase.  I've been looking for some leather pants that won't put me into bankruptcy.  In general, I know that 100% real leather pants retail at over $100.  The leather is really soft, but I don't think I could tuck the pants into my long boots.  I'll probably have to wear ankle boots with these.

I think I'll continue my thrift shopping.  Who knows if I'll find any other treasures?

Update: According to the ebay post here, these leather pants retail at $500. O.O

YesStyle: Channeling Lace and Chanel

Update: YesStyle has updated their sale prices and has taken further reductions on their merchandise.

YesStyle is having their annual sale right now.  I've bought a few things from them before (some hits and misses), but I love looking at their pictures.  They take several pictures of their models wearing their clothes.  It's another source of style inspiration for me other than my catalog collection.  I really want to incorporate more lace into my wardrobe without looking like my grandmother.  It should also go well with the new Chanel bag that I recently bought.  Which one did I pick?  Hehehe.  I'll reveal that later.

Here are some lace pieces that I was looking at:

I can't really decide between a dress or a shirt, black or white lace.  Sigh.

J.Crew 40% Off Final Sale In Stores

For a limited time, J.Crew is having a 40% off adult sale items and 50% off kids sale items in store only.  All sales are final.

I've always loved the quality of the clothes that they have at J.Crew.  I also love how they style their models in their catalogs.  I think the majority of catalogs in my collection are from J.Crew.  Here are some pictures for inspiration:
